I live in Phoenix, Az and when working or exercising outside during the summer months, drinking water is not enough. I quit drinking Gatorade in favor of bottled water with electrolytes. I was spending a lot of money on water and as an environmentally conscious individual, I did not like being a consumer of so many plastic bottles (even recycling them). I got online and started researching and found many positive reviews for Hi-Lyte. I opted to try the Low Sodium version because I do have hypertension. I haven't looked back ever since. On days when my fluid intake has been lackluster, I add 1/4 tsp to a small bottle of water and it provides me with an immediate boost. I didn't write a review right away. I wanted to experience the effects of Hi Lyte over time with my exercise regimes. I received the most dramatic results recently during this extremely hot and humid weather lately. I was perspiring to the point I was drenched and not even exercising. I began feeling light headed and fatigued. It finally dawned on me to use my Hi Lyte. I had been losing electrolytes. Water was not enough. I felt 100% better. During this hot weather I'm drinking it in the morning and as needed. I also, appreciate the low sodium because I am sensitive to salt.
I was looking for this bottle, for a smaller purse size to carry in purse - will look and see if available...but when I feel a cramp coming on, I just put in about 6 drops to a 12-16 ounce bottle of water, and - the CRAMPS STOP!! This stuff is magic. I also use less than the 12 drops - this stuff WORKS. For faster foot cramp relief - I put it in diet tonic water...this plus the quinine...stops it in its tracks!!

The water in our area doesn't taste all that great so we buy water from a filtered water store. Recently I found out that the water we have been buying is basically distilled water. Therefore, I want to add electrolytes back into my water but I do not like flavored electrolytes powders. I like my water to taste like WATER, not fruit punch, so that is why I purchased this product. I like the fact that it is low sodium. I have been adding it to my water bottles for about a few weeks now and I am happy with the product. It makes my water taste ever so slightly salty but I don't mind it.
